It’s always great to be recognized for what you do, but it’s even greater when the recognition comes from a respected technology partner.

Over the past two years, we’ve received our share of honors at Quickplay. Our Video CMS, our storefront, and our revolutionary cloud-native platform all have earned NAB Best of Show or Best of Market awards. We’ve been selected to the Streaming Media 50 list of companies that matter most in online video. And one of our newest customers, PLDT’s Smart Communications arm, won an Asia-Pacific Stevie™ Award for innovation in entertainment applications.

We’re incredibly gratified by all those awards, but when we learned that our friends at Google Cloud had singled us out as the 2021 Industry Solution Partner of the Year for Media & Entertainment

Industry Solution Partner of the Year for Media & Entertainment is the latest phase of an evolving partnership between Quickplay and Google Cloud. In the last year alone we’ve expanded our partnership by:

Creating transformative experiences in both Telugu and Tamil for India’s aha service, running on Google Cloud;

Joining Google Cloud Marketplace to expedite the ability of customers to capitalize on the agility, flexibility, extensibility and scalability of our platform; and

Entering into a deeper collaboration with Google Cloud to help the industry deploy FAST services on Google Cloud; use Google Cloud data and business intelligence tools to drive real-time OTT data and recommendations; and use Google Cloud’s Media CDN to support high-quality, low latency video delivery.

We’ve said from the start that a key differentiator of the Quickplay OTT platform is the ability to integrate seamlessly with best-of-breed microservice and infrastructure partners to optimize deployment flexibility and performance for our customers. Our unique relationship with Google Cloud has been essential to fulfilling those promises and expanding the industry’s horizons.

While we’re savoring the Google Cloud award, here’s the bottom line: Industry Solution Partner of the Year for Media & Entertainment salutes what we’ve already accomplished, but what’s more important is where we go from here.
